This incredible Jewish wedding was held at Anderson Park at the Aspen Meadows Resort that overlooks Castle Creek Valley and Capitol Creek Valley. Such a stunning wedding ceremony location, especially if you get some light fluffy clouds to diffuse the direct sunlight and summer/fall heat. Even though this ceremony location can get pretty warm for the bride, groom, family and guests, the staff at Aspen Meadows does a great job at keeping ice water stations filled and accessible. While this wedding didn’t utilize any, handing out some white umbrellas for the guests to use for shade would be a great addition for this (and many other) location.
I’m a big fan of my couple’s doing a first look since it gives them a few private moments to spend with each other where they aren’t on display and having to focus on the experiences of the guests. Here at Aspen Meadows, there’s no shortage of beautiful spots to do a first look. My suggestion/Pro Tip is to ask the staff if you can have access to 2 golf carts for a first look so you don’t interrupt your wedding planner’s timeline or work up a sweat.
Another thing that I love about this venue is that there is a separate cocktail hour venue that is a short walk to the reception space. The space between the two is great as it allows your photographer to capture the elegance of the reception before your friends and family start offloading their jackets, purses and drinks. It also allows the bride and groom to see the space without guests being there, which can also be a nice private moment before the reception starts (similar to the first look).
